Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden was born on August 14, 1959, in La Jolla, California, the fifth child of five. Beverly Bushfield Her mother, worked as a housewife, while Thad Harold Harden fought serving in the military. Her family often relocated. In the time they resided in Greece, she became interested in theater, and she attended Athens shows. Harden started her college studies in Europe at American colleges and eventually moved to the US to complete her degree at the University of Texas. In 1983, Harden earned her MFA in theatre at NYU. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers comedy that cleverly paid homage of the 1990 gangster film, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden was in films from 1986 (in the less-known The Imagemaker), she played a seductive femme fatale as part of her first mainstream performance. Harden received praise for her dramatic performance of Verna as a stunning, dangerous female. Harden was later cast in supporting role. Her role was Ava Gardner, a TV biopic of Frank Sinatra.
