Alanis Nadine was born 1 June 1974, in Ottawa, Canada. Alanis' Greek is a female variant of the name Alan's father's. The name of her mother is Georgia and she has two brothers, Chad as well as Wade (Alanis"Twin"). When she was just 6 She learned to play piano. And then, when she turned 21 she became a guitarist. Alanis dropped a single in 1986 called Fate Stay With Me (b-side : Find The Right Man). Then, in Canada, Alanis recorded two dance-pop albums: Alanis (in 1991) and the album Now Is The Time in 1992. She was 18 when she relocated to Toronto and worked with several artists and songwriters, however these collaborations did not work.
